Original review Oct 30, 2024
Today at around 12 noon I went thru the drive thru at my local BK .. There was about 5 in front of me but I waited.

Afer about 30 mins it was now time for me to get my order. I handed the girls the loose correct change and a 20 which was all that I had. She took it then came back to me and said she couldnt accept the 20 because one corner had been repaired with tape. I explained it was all I had..

She then checked with the manager and came back and said she could not take it. and asked if I didn't have any other bills to pay with.. One moe time I said no and was told that she could not accept it. After I got the thing back I looked closely at it and the corner had never been seperated totally but had a small tear in it and a piece of tape was over it.

After about thirty minutes I had to leave empty handed. And very disappointed as well..

I frequent that location a lot because the food seems to be hot and fresh and not greasy. Later today I called there and just asked about a corporate office phone number and the guy said he was by hs self and didnt know a main office number.
So with all being said I guess I will have to find somewhere else for a breakfast crosiant or a Burger at lunch
Sincerely disappointed in BK

Do not go to the awful Burger King in Niagara Falls, New York at 1611 Main Street, store number 289. Very incompetent, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, especially the managers.

When you rightfully complain about the wrong order, which happened to me three times in a row, they get defensive and blame the customer. Instead of apologizing and re-making the order as a professional would do, they tell you not to return because you complain too much. I had already said I am not coming back because they are incompetent, plus now rude, arrogant and sloppy. Poor listeners, too.The managers there, Beverly and I think Jamie, are especially ridiculous.

Avoid this Burger King, which has a 1.4/5.0 rating on Yelp as of this writing, which is a colossal failure with which I now agree. Cold burgers, wrong orders multiple times in a row, even a patron screaming f-bombs whereby police arrived looking for the guy who had left, this BK franchise is such a disaster! Burger King corporate offers surveys for customer feedback. Here is my feedback about this Burger King in Niagara Falls, New York and recommended solutions: get new managers there including getting rid of Beverly (general manager) and the female store manager; hold everyone employed there accountable for providing an excellent customer service experience; go "undercover boss" to witness this incompetence, rudeness and stupidity yourself, and provide better people/service/experiences to your customers whom these bad employees are very poorly de-serving.

These reckless, incompetent employees could be damaging the corporation's business from this location, and I give them F for Failure and also for Fired which I believe should happen. That is my Feed-Forward for the Burger King corporation as a longtime , frequent customer who is now leaving this franchise. If you are a consumer, AVOID this Burger King and check out the Yelp ratings and reviews which show how pathetic this Burger King is, such a total disgrace! Much better fast-food places are nearby with much more competent and nicer employees who value their customers and understand that if you take care of the customers, the customers take care of you.

This Burger King is an embarrassment to the corporation, the fast-food industry, and the city of Niagara Falls, New York. Thanks to Pissed Consumer for providing a platform where consumers can warn each other about an awful business franchise. I hope the Burger King corporate executives read this and take remedial action to rid their franchise of these terrible managers and maybe ownership as needed. Disgusting service and mismanagement!

AVOID. Zero stars, and negative stars if a selection.

Why would you want to return if they keep messing up your order? They have every right to ask you not to return. Seems like you are hoping that every time you say you got a wrong order you are hoping for something free.

It seems like that is what they are doing. The reason they are asking for compensation .

Resolved: Profanity used by a so-called Burger King manager

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Mar 11, 2026

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. I had an opportunity to speak with the actual store manager, who did apologize and offered me a sandwich to substitute. I was satisfied with that resolution.

Original review Mar 11, 2026
Hello. First off, your customer service phone number does not work.

Second, I went through your drive-through at BK#18871 located on Peabody Road in Vacaville, California. My order number was 73. From the start, the customer service rep was rude. I asked her how I could get the free breakfast item of the day with a $3.00 order, and she told me that without a code, it is what it is.

Because there was no code, that was OK; I decided to pay for it and ordered two French toast five-piece combos, the supposedly free breakfast item of the day of a three-piece French toast item, and a maple bacon candied croissant sandwich combo. My total was $29.50. Because it took so long to get the food and there was a line of people behind me when she gave me the order in a little bitty bag all crammed together, I didn't want to hold up the line checking the bag. I asked whether everything was in there; she said yes, so I assumed it meant I didn't need to wait for anything else, and I went around to the front of the Burger King restaurant and checked my bag.

I had no sandwich in the bag. I came back around and waited patiently in the drive-through behind four other cars because she said to come back to the window. When I got back to the window and told her I didn't get my sandwich, she then said I didn't order the sandwich. I stated yes, I did, because I upgraded all three combos to the three orange juices, but that I didn't have a receipt as she never gave me the receipt from the start.

She then realized she didn't give it to me, and she said I didn't order it. I said yes, I did order it. It's on the receipt. She found it through the register and read it off to me, and it clearly included the sandwich, as I didn't pay $29 for two French toast five-piece combos.

When I said there's a sandwich you just read off, she then said I need your bag back to verify, and I said I'm not giving you the bag back to dig your hand through my food that I have to take home; I don't have to lie about a seven-dollar sandwich. She then told me there was nothing she could do, and she didn't give a *** if I got the sandwich or not. I told her this is how you talk to your customers. I asked to speak to the manager.

She told me she was a manager, and there was nothing that was going to be done if I didn't give her the bag, and I said I'm still not gonna give you the bag. I had someone who was on the phone with me who heard the conversation and was appalled that someone representing your organization was cussing and using the type of profanity that she was using. I left. I came back to get her name so I made sure to identify the so-called correct manager; she ignored me, told me I could wait, and would not give me her name.

I can tell you that she had a necklace around her neck with the initial B, it looked like, around it. I plan to dispute this order through my credit card company, but I want to let you know the type of people you have representing your establishment. Because I didn't get my sandwich from there, I ended up going to McDonald's, and the whole customer service experience was a full 180. They were polite; they acknowledged me, my name, etc.

Total different experience. For the most part, I have not had too many issues with this particular restaurant. The one time I did have an issue, the manager that was on duty was very polite, presented great customer service skills, and corrected with no problem. However, this so-called manager that you had who was working the drive-through on March 11 at 8:37 AM definitely was not proper management material, and she didn't seem to care at all.

My contact information is 707-365-****, and my name is Tina Mckenney if someone would like to contact me in regard to this. It is a matter of principle that I will dispute it through my credit card.

I don't have a problem paying for food I received, but I don't need to lie about a seven-dollar sandwich. Thank you.

The person you interacted with (and others) already touched the food in your bag, so why do you care if they do it again? You escalated the situation, not her. This poor Burger King employee was trying to make it through the morning rush and had to deal with you not letting her solve the problem.

We always get the 2 for $5.00 deal

he was charged $22.65 ( are you kidding me!)

he asked why its high and was told you have to tell them in advance you want the 2 for 5.

who in their right mind is going to pay that?!?

He then asked to cancle and get the 2 for 5 ( even tho its the same thing)

He was told NO.

This Burger King has had people there that never want to do their job and treat costumers like dirt.

Burger King - Order complaint

First of all, my husband brought me a sandwich, a Whopper with cheese and fries on Tuesday, March 31, at 8:22 PM from the Washington Racetrack Road in Washington, PA. I requested no tomato when he brought the sandwich home.

There was a piece of lettuce, not even the size of my thumb, no onion, and the sandwich was drier than nothing. Hardly any condiments on it. I paid $12 and something for a sandwich that was not worth bringing home.

I tried calling the store, but someone must be using it for personal use because the line is busy, busy, busy. What kind of service is this?

It has not developed no shape form or fashon

Original review Nov 21, 2025
I ordered something off the menu for two, which total came up to nine dollars. Somehow I ended up having to pay almost 18 for the food to never come. The whole time after I placed the order, it kept saying, 'We're preparing your order.' Nothing ever changed about the status on it. Not to mention, still, food never came. When I called the store, the guy told me that my food had been picked up, well handed out, but it never arrived. He told me that there was nothing he could do for me, then put the phone down as I listened to him clean up for over an hour. For three hours, to be exact, the same token. I was also emailing Burger King, and they were trying to tell me that they see the order had been picked up or whatnot, so I started using profanity and they closed my ticket.

So, bright and early in the morning, I asked for the store owners number or something of that nature, not the shift lead, which goes by the name of Charlie. He proceeded to tell me that I ordered online, so that's only for pick up, not delivery. I'm not the dumbest person in America, but I do know that if it's not for delivery, it would not let me process my order, let alone pay. Then he proceeded to tell me that he can't find my ticket, so there was nothing he could do about it.

Now, shall I say my thing is, there were too many things said from employee to shift leader or whoever Charlie is, and if it was for pick up, how the heck did they let it go out for delivery? Honestly, I know that if the food was to make it to me, I would have still been broke, but due to the fact I didn't get food, I had to starve. I could not reorder, neither was I able the next day, and still haven't received a delivery nor a refund. I feel it's right to refund me and accommodate me with a free complimentary week for 2, because it's been a week and I still haven't got a response. I forgot to mention that when they closed my ticket on the email chat, they told me how to go back in and open it up again, and I did so and still haven't got a response. A week I've been waiting.
Loss:
$17
Pros:
  • Good if you go to store
Cons:
  • Paying my hard earned money for nothing
  • Bad employees with horrible customer services

Preferred solution: A full refund and a week of complimentary meals for 2 plus perks cause I used them as wall and since I reinstated the ticket that they closed and it’s been a week and I still haven’t got a response

User's recommendation: if you order do not order from bk.com order from DoorDash

Burger King is no longer the same customer-friendly, value-oriented company it once was. It has become this money-guzzling beast that doesn't care about the customer, just the bottom line.

Unfriendly, rude, and idiotic at times. Don't go to Burger King as there are many more competent and friendly places that can serve customers better.

Burger King is now a loser, closing many stores (look it up). Just a matter of time until the "King" gets flushed down the Throne financially, all imo as now a former customer.

Guest

You really are stupid. You ordered $9 worth of food.

You had $8+ in service/delivery/small cart fees/tax. Hence $17+. You also left no tip for the driver. You needed to call the third party delivery service (Grubhub, Doordash etc) that you ordered through.

The reason you did not get the owner’s name was he is not responsible for the third party delivery service. He is responsible for CUSTOMER pick-up inside the store.

You should not be spending $8 in fees for $9 worth of food if that was the last of your money. And you need to tip.

I tried to utilize my app at the restaurant drive-thru with a $3 promo for mini Cinnabon and coffee, and an additional order for 2 for $3 French toast sticks. I informed them I wanted the points and offer, although I wasn't really familiar with using the scan at the restaurant QR code.

Everything seemed to be done okay until I had to pay, and I noticed there was a $2 additional charge. When I got my receipt, I noticed the teller never applied the promo I was requesting at the speaker, and I waited at the window to address it, but he walked off after acknowledging me. So I drove to the second window, where I was met by the same male individual. I addressed the issue, and he simply said, 'Nah, nah, I can't do that.' This was his mistake, and I got denied the correction request and was told, 'I can keep the coffee if you don't want it, but the charges are already in.' So basically, if I didn't take the food, I still wasn't getting any refund.

It was a $2 overcharge, and instead of correcting it or refunding, I was denied both, basically because they made the meal.

When complaining on the app chat, it froze, and when I called, I got hung up on. I would like to request a full refund based on service forcing me to accept their mistake and unwillingness to correct it.

Rude employee

AI Highlights
  • - Canyon Road BK had rude service over biscuit freshness; customer was told to leave.
  • - River Road location has good service; Jojo is awesome.

On Sunday morning (3-22-26) we went to get some breakfast sandwiches, we always buy sausage and cheese biscuits at least four to go. We always ask if they are fresh because we have gotten them before and the biscuits were so hard we could hardly eat them .

I had to return them and ask for freshly made!

The customer service at the location in PUYALLUP Washington on CANYON ROAD BURGER KING is HORRIBLE these days very rude employee on Sunday ( her name was hard to pronounce It started with the letter E ) We asked very nicely if the biscuits were fresh? Her reply was made them at 6am we only make fresh if we run out ( which is not true because we have waited for them to make fresh for us before! It is now 8:15am could you please check and see if they are NOT HARD we do not want microwaved sandwiches is what you have also done, before I order. She with a very SNOTTY attitude towards us, she left the counter was gone for like 3 minutes came back and said very RUDE , well are you ordering or not?

We said well, you never answered us if they are not hard or fresh, I know for a fact biscuits don't stay soft for that long.

Her reply then was as she was walking away ... YOU CAN LEAVE MY STORE NOW!

To be honest I was so caught off guard at her reply.

Very unprofessional ! I have worked in the food service many years I would NEVER treat a customer this way!

On a POSITIVE note we usually go to the location in Puyallup on the River Road . We have NEVER had bad service there.

The employees are always very friendly and take care of your request NO problem! The one employee that is AWESOME at her job there is JOJO!

Matter of fact I was there today for lunch and spoke to her about how that went going there, we did not have time to drive downtown Sunday or we would have went to the store on River Road where you get fresh food and great service !

I really think this employee at the Canyon Road location needs to know this is not good for business. Check the reviews!

Thank you for your time and I really hope she gets talked to about treating customers this way!

Upset customer,

Message to Tom Curtis quest for a better Whopper

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Whopper bun is too large; freshness is inconsistent.
  • - Lettuce tastes preserved; tomato flavor dull.
  • - I’d like onion rings on the Whopper and beef-tallow fries.

Hello Mr. Curtis I consider myself a whopper expert, seriously.

Having a husband hired in management way back in 1979, to being over 32 Stores when he departed. We loved being a part of BK family.

In your quest to improve the Whopper it's easy, go back to 1979 quality. Unfortunately through the years quality has been somewhat sacrificed for cost savings and speed of service.

I want to be frank, so here goes. Todays bun which is (too much too big), freshness is hit and miss.

BK use to have buns delivered daily. Cracks on top bun are a no no and indicate lack of freshness. The quality of lettuce and tomato are extremely lacking. Lettuce taste like chemical preservatives, tomato is basically tasteless. Lettuce should be the good part of lettuce leaf not the butt end pieces and not wilted.

My favorite way, was to put onion rings on my whopper.

Note: see Whataburger for quality onion rings and go back to cooking fries in beef tallow.

A special request from me...I absolutely loved the original Chicken sandwich that came out in the early 1980's. Bar none, it was the best sandwich other than the whopper and sales were great. If I could take a guess, cost savings have made changes to the quality of the CS, because the breading, crispness, and overall taste are not the same.

Finally I will say management is instrumental in the quality of the food you serve to your customers. Again, over the years serious management was sacrificed for basically shift supervisors with a management title.

Are your management teams actually proud to tell people they work for BK and feel they are on a serious management career journey? Management cost savings over the years has instead, become... very costly. Would love to see the BK's of the past make a comeback.

You would be a major step ahead of your competition who seems to suffer similar missteps. Sincerely

User's recommendation: Love the Whopper be patient as changes are made from a good whopper to a great whopper.

Discriminated against vegans

Burger King - Discriminated against vegans

Liz at the store in Plano has discriminated against me before in the past. Now today, she would not substitute my Whopper for an Impossible Whopper.

This is a scam because I had to do the survey about the restaurant being good. Then they turn around and treat me unfairly.

I'm disabled and should not be treated any differently than anyone who eats red meat. This is a form of discrimination.

Cons:
  • Burger king does not treat vegans the same

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: I will not recommend any vegans to Burger King because you treat us lkke ***

Nothing, no answers, no emails, nothing. I got an email twice.

I ordered food twice: cold, late, stale bread or 5th Street Burger King.

Both times, the same thing. Only place nearby, but no time given for your food!

User's recommendation: Don't order online

To anyone that may care!

Today is officially the worst experience I've ever had at a Burger King.

2621 Santa Barbara

Cape Coral, FL

It was approximately 12:15. I entered the drive-through lane with one car in the other lane.

Both of us sat there for a substantial amount of time—me over 10 minutes! I kept asking, 'Is anyone there?' with no acknowledgment!

I then pulled around and went inside, waiting another 7 minutes for the on-duty manager to finish his smoke break. I saw him out back while I was trying to receive some kind of acknowledgment in the drive-through.

Finally, he scrambled to the front and took my order.

No one was watching the front. The drive-through and the dining room only had 1 person besides myself!

The line was more consumed with DoorDash than the actual patrons!

After I was given my order, I mentioned a suggestion that if the order takers can't manage 2 drive-through lanes, maybe it would be beneficial to close one! Or—at least acknowledge the person waiting.

I then walked away because this experience took too long and I needed to return to my own job! The manager shouted out there are other Burger Kings in the area that might make me happier. No accountability!!

There are so many things wrong with this situation—no accountability.

No apologies—and I, the customer, became the problem because I pointed out a lack of attention to the drive-through and the lobby!

Moreover, this absolutely incompetent person will keep his job, he knows this and the clear indication is the way he made me the problem and his outward disrespect he chose to display in the lobby.

Finally, it's evident this location is focused on the delivery business instead of the actual customer spending their valuable lunchtime wasting money at this store!

I would check the drive-through orders and lobby orders at the time I was visiting this location.

Numbers don't lie! The kitchen staff was way too busy to look up and see me standing at the counter waiting again to be acknowledged!

I had to get out of my car to order food and to receive grossly hateful service from Thomas!

Please see my receipt. The lack of customers in the drive-through and lobby are blatant signs of a failing business!

Disappointed and finished.

You have NO RIGHT telling them how to do their job. Would you like it if some random person told you how to do your job?

He only disrespected you after you told him how to do his job, so in a way, you had it coming. You cannot just go around telling people off and then making a stink when they defend themselves.

Sounds to me like he does not want to deal with someone who is telling him how to do his job. If you kept your mouth shut, he would not have said this.

many of the locations could be franchise im sure the manager would claim "short staffed" excuse
