Poor menu online

AI Highlights
  • - Online pickup orders show location menus as unavailable.
  • - Employees shrug and say they don't set up the menu.

Several times at different BKs, I have tried to order online for pickup. Many times, items on the specific menu for the location aren't even available, but I don't know until after I order and try to pick up what I ordered. This has happened many times, and employees always just shrug their shoulders and say, 'We don't set up the menu!' I would think that someone at BK could take the time to make sure the menu is correct, but maybe you don't care about customer service!

Cons:
  • Do not seem to care about customer service

User's recommendation: Don’t try to order online!

Resolved: Profanity used by a so-called Burger King manager

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Mar 11, 2026

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. I had an opportunity to speak with the actual store manager, who did apologize and offered me a sandwich to substitute. I was satisfied with that resolution.

Original review Mar 11, 2026
Hello. First off, your customer service phone number does not work.

Second, I went through your drive-through at BK#18871 located on Peabody Road in Vacaville, California. My order number was 73. From the start, the customer service rep was rude. I asked her how I could get the free breakfast item of the day with a $3.00 order, and she told me that without a code, it is what it is.

Because there was no code, that was OK; I decided to pay for it and ordered two French toast five-piece combos, the supposedly free breakfast item of the day of a three-piece French toast item, and a maple bacon candied croissant sandwich combo. My total was $29.50. Because it took so long to get the food and there was a line of people behind me when she gave me the order in a little bitty bag all crammed together, I didn't want to hold up the line checking the bag. I asked whether everything was in there; she said yes, so I assumed it meant I didn't need to wait for anything else, and I went around to the front of the Burger King restaurant and checked my bag.

I had no sandwich in the bag. I came back around and waited patiently in the drive-through behind four other cars because she said to come back to the window. When I got back to the window and told her I didn't get my sandwich, she then said I didn't order the sandwich. I stated yes, I did, because I upgraded all three combos to the three orange juices, but that I didn't have a receipt as she never gave me the receipt from the start.

She then realized she didn't give it to me, and she said I didn't order it. I said yes, I did order it. It's on the receipt. She found it through the register and read it off to me, and it clearly included the sandwich, as I didn't pay $29 for two French toast five-piece combos.

When I said there's a sandwich you just read off, she then said I need your bag back to verify, and I said I'm not giving you the bag back to dig your hand through my food that I have to take home; I don't have to lie about a seven-dollar sandwich. She then told me there was nothing she could do, and she didn't give a *** if I got the sandwich or not. I told her this is how you talk to your customers. I asked to speak to the manager.

She told me she was a manager, and there was nothing that was going to be done if I didn't give her the bag, and I said I'm still not gonna give you the bag. I had someone who was on the phone with me who heard the conversation and was appalled that someone representing your organization was cussing and using the type of profanity that she was using. I left. I came back to get her name so I made sure to identify the so-called correct manager; she ignored me, told me I could wait, and would not give me her name.

I can tell you that she had a necklace around her neck with the initial B, it looked like, around it. I plan to dispute this order through my credit card company, but I want to let you know the type of people you have representing your establishment. Because I didn't get my sandwich from there, I ended up going to McDonald's, and the whole customer service experience was a full 180. They were polite; they acknowledged me, my name, etc.

Total different experience. For the most part, I have not had too many issues with this particular restaurant. The one time I did have an issue, the manager that was on duty was very polite, presented great customer service skills, and corrected with no problem. However, this so-called manager that you had who was working the drive-through on March 11 at 8:37 AM definitely was not proper management material, and she didn't seem to care at all.

My contact information is 707-365-****, and my name is Tina Mckenney if someone would like to contact me in regard to this. It is a matter of principle that I will dispute it through my credit card.

I don't have a problem paying for food I received, but I don't need to lie about a seven-dollar sandwich. Thank you.

The person you interacted with (and others) already touched the food in your bag, so why do you care if they do it again? You escalated the situation, not her. This poor Burger King employee was trying to make it through the morning rush and had to deal with you not letting her solve the problem.

Burger King - Rip Off

My husband went to Burger King, On Campus Dr. Klamath Falls, Oregon 97601

He ordered:

4 sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissan'wichs

1 Small Hashbrown

(our usual)

We always get the 2 for $5.00 deal

he was charged $22.65 ( are you kidding me!)

he asked why its high and was told you have to tell them in advance you want the 2 for 5.

who in their right mind is going to pay that?!?

He then asked to cancle and get the 2 for 5 ( even tho its the same thing)

He was told NO.

This Burger King has had people there that never want to do their job and treat costumers like dirt.

IF this is what BK is doing now, We will not go to ANY BK anywhere, And I will get the word out of how people are getting ripped off!!

I still have my recipe if you would like to see.

Molten lava eggs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Drive-thru Burger King breakfast uses egg near 300, very hot.
  • - After 10 minutes, food remains above 250 degrees; wait 15-20 minutes.

I understand that most people want hot food. I also understand that deliveries and platforms like DoorDash are also about 40 to 60% of restaurants' income at this point.

But today, and almost every other time that I go to Burger King, I go through the drive-thru, get a breakfast sandwich, and then am unable to eat my sandwich for 15 to 20 minutes due to the fact that the egg is being served at just under 300, literally just on the *** of exploding. I work at a local restaurant, so I have tested this at this point several times: I pick up breakfast from Burger King, drive about 10 minutes away to my job, then temp the food.

Not once, even after 10 minutes, has my food been less than 250. I would like to keep the use of my taste buds well into old age and would prefer not to have my taste buds cauterized off by overheated breakfast.

Preferred solution: I don't want to get anything I want to be able to order breakfast and a drive-thru and then pull off and be able to eat it immediately

Burger King - Order complaint

First of all, my husband brought me a sandwich, a Whopper with cheese and fries on Tuesday, March 31, at 8:22 PM from the Washington Racetrack Road in Washington, PA. I requested no tomato when he brought the sandwich home.

There was a piece of lettuce, not even the size of my thumb, no onion, and the sandwich was drier than nothing. Hardly any condiments on it. I paid $12 and something for a sandwich that was not worth bringing home.

I tried calling the store, but someone must be using it for personal use because the line is busy, busy, busy. What kind of service is this?

It has not developed no shape form or fashon

Original review Nov 21, 2025
I ordered something off the menu for two, which total came up to nine dollars. Somehow I ended up having to pay almost 18 for the food to never come. The whole time after I placed the order, it kept saying, 'We're preparing your order.' Nothing ever changed about the status on it. Not to mention, still, food never came. When I called the store, the guy told me that my food had been picked up, well handed out, but it never arrived. He told me that there was nothing he could do for me, then put the phone down as I listened to him clean up for over an hour. For three hours, to be exact, the same token. I was also emailing Burger King, and they were trying to tell me that they see the order had been picked up or whatnot, so I started using profanity and they closed my ticket.

So, bright and early in the morning, I asked for the store owners number or something of that nature, not the shift lead, which goes by the name of Charlie. He proceeded to tell me that I ordered online, so that's only for pick up, not delivery. I'm not the dumbest person in America, but I do know that if it's not for delivery, it would not let me process my order, let alone pay. Then he proceeded to tell me that he can't find my ticket, so there was nothing he could do about it.

Now, shall I say my thing is, there were too many things said from employee to shift leader or whoever Charlie is, and if it was for pick up, how the heck did they let it go out for delivery? Honestly, I know that if the food was to make it to me, I would have still been broke, but due to the fact I didn't get food, I had to starve. I could not reorder, neither was I able the next day, and still haven't received a delivery nor a refund. I feel it's right to refund me and accommodate me with a free complimentary week for 2, because it's been a week and I still haven't got a response. I forgot to mention that when they closed my ticket on the email chat, they told me how to go back in and open it up again, and I did so and still haven't got a response. A week I've been waiting.
Loss:
$17
Pros:
  • Good if you go to store
Cons:
  • Bad employees with horrible customer services
  • Paying my hard earned money for nothing

Preferred solution: A full refund and a week of complimentary meals for 2 plus perks cause I used them as wall and since I reinstated the ticket that they closed and it’s been a week and I still haven’t got a response

User's recommendation: if you order do not order from bk.com order from DoorDash

Burger King is no longer the same customer-friendly, value-oriented company it once was. It has become this money-guzzling beast that doesn't care about the customer, just the bottom line.

Unfriendly, rude, and idiotic at times. Don't go to Burger King as there are many more competent and friendly places that can serve customers better.

Burger King is now a loser, closing many stores (look it up). Just a matter of time until the "King" gets flushed down the Throne financially, all imo as now a former customer.

Guest

You really are stupid. You ordered $9 worth of food.

You had $8+ in service/delivery/small cart fees/tax. Hence $17+. You also left no tip for the driver. You needed to call the third party delivery service (Grubhub, Doordash etc) that you ordered through.

The reason you did not get the owner’s name was he is not responsible for the third party delivery service. He is responsible for CUSTOMER pick-up inside the store.

You should not be spending $8 in fees for $9 worth of food if that was the last of your money. And you need to tip.

Bad service and DEI help

  • - I frequent the Burger King in Fern Creek, KY, but service has declined.
  • - I was told a military discount existed, then discounts weren’t offered, and the drive-thru wait was long.

I frequently patronize the Burger King in Fern Creek, Kentucky, within the last year. I've noticed that your customer service has just gone to *** A few months back, I had my military hat, and I was told, which I never knew, that I could get a discount for being in the military, and I said thank you.

I didn't know that. A few days later, I came back through again and asked for a military discount and was told they didn't offer them. But when I got up to the window to get my food, a large, nasty-looking white woman with tattoos all over her and studs in her nose and ears informed me that, in her opinion, veterans and military did not deserve any discount. Really?

Today, May 1, I ordered some food. At that time, there were five cars in line, and I was the last one. It took over five minutes to get to the window to pay. While waiting, all the cars got served and left.

Five minutes later, they were still just looking at me through the window, and apparently, someone was training the cashier. I finally just had to drive off.

It was over 10 minutes. Are you sure that Burger King is a fast food restaurant?

I tried to utilize my app at the restaurant drive-thru with a $3 promo for mini Cinnabon and coffee, and an additional order for 2 for $3 French toast sticks. I informed them I wanted the points and offer, although I wasn't really familiar with using the scan at the restaurant QR code.

Everything seemed to be done okay until I had to pay, and I noticed there was a $2 additional charge. When I got my receipt, I noticed the teller never applied the promo I was requesting at the speaker, and I waited at the window to address it, but he walked off after acknowledging me. So I drove to the second window, where I was met by the same male individual. I addressed the issue, and he simply said, 'Nah, nah, I can't do that.' This was his mistake, and I got denied the correction request and was told, 'I can keep the coffee if you don't want it, but the charges are already in.' So basically, if I didn't take the food, I still wasn't getting any refund.

It was a $2 overcharge, and instead of correcting it or refunding, I was denied both, basically because they made the meal.

When complaining on the app chat, it froze, and when I called, I got hung up on. I would like to request a full refund based on service forcing me to accept their mistake and unwillingness to correct it.

Rude employee

AI Highlights
  • - Canyon Road BK had rude service over biscuit freshness; customer was told to leave.
  • - River Road location has good service; Jojo is awesome.

On Sunday morning (3-22-26) we went to get some breakfast sandwiches, we always buy sausage and cheese biscuits at least four to go. We always ask if they are fresh because we have gotten them before and the biscuits were so hard we could hardly eat them .

I had to return them and ask for freshly made!

The customer service at the location in PUYALLUP Washington on CANYON ROAD BURGER KING is HORRIBLE these days very rude employee on Sunday ( her name was hard to pronounce It started with the letter E ) We asked very nicely if the biscuits were fresh? Her reply was made them at 6am we only make fresh if we run out ( which is not true because we have waited for them to make fresh for us before! It is now 8:15am could you please check and see if they are NOT HARD we do not want microwaved sandwiches is what you have also done, before I order. She with a very SNOTTY attitude towards us, she left the counter was gone for like 3 minutes came back and said very RUDE , well are you ordering or not?

We said well, you never answered us if they are not hard or fresh, I know for a fact biscuits don't stay soft for that long.

Her reply then was as she was walking away ... YOU CAN LEAVE MY STORE NOW!

To be honest I was so caught off guard at her reply.

Very unprofessional ! I have worked in the food service many years I would NEVER treat a customer this way!

On a POSITIVE note we usually go to the location in Puyallup on the River Road . We have NEVER had bad service there.

The employees are always very friendly and take care of your request NO problem! The one employee that is AWESOME at her job there is JOJO!

Matter of fact I was there today for lunch and spoke to her about how that went going there, we did not have time to drive downtown Sunday or we would have went to the store on River Road where you get fresh food and great service !

I really think this employee at the Canyon Road location needs to know this is not good for business. Check the reviews!

Thank you for your time and I really hope she gets talked to about treating customers this way!

Upset customer,

Message to Tom Curtis quest for a better Whopper

AI Highlights
  • - Whopper bun is too large; freshness is inconsistent.
  • - Lettuce tastes preserved; tomato flavor dull.
  • - I’d like onion rings on the Whopper and beef-tallow fries.

Hello Mr. Curtis I consider myself a whopper expert, seriously.

Having a husband hired in management way back in 1979, to being over 32 Stores when he departed. We loved being a part of BK family.

In your quest to improve the Whopper it's easy, go back to 1979 quality. Unfortunately through the years quality has been somewhat sacrificed for cost savings and speed of service.

I want to be frank, so here goes. Todays bun which is (too much too big), freshness is hit and miss.

BK use to have buns delivered daily. Cracks on top bun are a no no and indicate lack of freshness. The quality of lettuce and tomato are extremely lacking. Lettuce taste like chemical preservatives, tomato is basically tasteless. Lettuce should be the good part of lettuce leaf not the butt end pieces and not wilted.

My favorite way, was to put onion rings on my whopper.

Note: see Whataburger for quality onion rings and go back to cooking fries in beef tallow.

A special request from me...I absolutely loved the original Chicken sandwich that came out in the early 1980's. Bar none, it was the best sandwich other than the whopper and sales were great. If I could take a guess, cost savings have made changes to the quality of the CS, because the breading, crispness, and overall taste are not the same.

Finally I will say management is instrumental in the quality of the food you serve to your customers. Again, over the years serious management was sacrificed for basically shift supervisors with a management title.

Are your management teams actually proud to tell people they work for BK and feel they are on a serious management career journey? Management cost savings over the years has instead, become... very costly. Would love to see the BK's of the past make a comeback.

You would be a major step ahead of your competition who seems to suffer similar missteps. Sincerely

User's recommendation: Love the Whopper be patient as changes are made from a good whopper to a great whopper.

My husband and I ate at Harvard Burger King yesterday. Never so disappointed.

For 24.22 dollars, we waited 20 minutes for our food. When we got it, my burger was wrong. Even though the receipt said only ketchup and lettuce, I was blessed with tomatoes on it. When I bit into it, it was ice cold.

The container also had a loose piece of cardboard in it. Needless to say, it went in the garbage. My fries were good. My husband's sandwich was also ice cold.

He ordered large onion rings and only got 5.

This was at the Harvard, IL Burger King, Store #25638. Normally, I don't complain, but this is ridiculous.
